Our Mission

Why MIMSight exists.

To give every organisation that buys market intelligence data the same structured advantage that their vendors already have — and have always had.

Market data is not a discretionary cost. For commodity traders, financial institutions, and energy firms, it is the raw material of every decision — pricing curves, risk models, counterparty exposure, strategic positioning. But the process of managing, renewing, and rationalising that data has remained opaque, fragmented, and overwhelmingly vendor-led.

MIMSight exists to change that. Not through complexity, but through structure. One platform that gives procurement teams the visibility, the evidence, and the tools to manage their market data relationships with the same rigour they apply to every other material cost in the business.

The Origin

Built from two decades inside the problem — and designed to solve it permanently.

MIMSight was co-founded by two professionals who between them bring over fifty years of experience — one rooted in commercial market data and procurement negotiation, the other in enterprise technology and AI engineering.

Across the CEO's career — spanning two decades of vendor relationships, procurement cycles, and commercial negotiations at firms including S&P Global, Bloomberg, and Wood Mackenzie — one pattern repeated without exception. Organisations were entering high-value renewals underprepared. Not because their people were inexperienced. Because the information simply wasn't there.

Negotiations happened without documented alternatives. Renewals rolled forward because no one had the time or the data to challenge them. Costs compounded quietly — in spreadsheets no one fully trusted — and when finance asked for justification, procurement rebuilt the picture from scratch. Every single time.

The CEO watched this play out across state-owned enterprises, independent trading houses, energy majors, and investment banks. The scale of the organisations changed. The dysfunction did not.

MIMSight is the answer to that asymmetry — market-built, commercially grounded, and designed for the realities of how market data procurement actually works across complex, multi-vendor, multi-geography organisations. In a cost environment that only moves in one direction, the organisations that will manage market data most effectively are not necessarily the largest. They are the ones with the best information.

The vendor always walked in knowing more than we did. They knew our risk of losing the data. They knew our utilisation. They knew whether we had a real alternative. We were negotiating on instinct. They were negotiating on data.

What We Build
Platform
What MIM Is

MIM is a standalone market intelligence procurement platform built for commodity and financial organisations that buy, manage, and renew market data subscriptions at scale.

Approach
Our Approach

We built around the procurement workflow, not around data feeds — structured, subscription-first, and designed to sit outside your existing systems without requiring integration.

Differentiation
Why MIM Is Different

Unlike generic spend tools, MIM is purpose-built for market data — with commodities and financials vendor intelligence, BATNA scoring, utilisation tracking, and negotiation playbooks baked in from day one.

Three Objectives

We designed this platform with three objectives around the hard truths that the market intelligence and data procurement face across the financial and commodity organisations face every year.

01
Full Transparency of Market Intelligence Spend
The Promise
One source of truth. Every subscription. Every contract. Every cost.
  • Procurement stops relying on email chains and tribal knowledge to answer basic spend questions
  • Finance gets a defensible, reconcilable view of market data costs broken down by business unit, vendor, and category
  • Business unit heads know exactly what data tools their teams are paying for — and what they're actually using
  • New joiners in procurement can get up to speed without a two-week knowledge transfer
02
Strengthen Vendor Negotiation Leverage
The Promise
Walk into every vendor renewal knowing exactly what leverage you have.
  • Procurement can walk into any renewal with fact-based evidence instead of gut feel
  • You know which vendors have alternatives and which ones have you trapped — and you can plan accordingly
  • Benchmark data shifts the conversation from "this is our price" to "here's what the market pays"
  • Playbooks mean your best negotiation tactics survive staff turnover
  • The organisation stops paying full list price because no one had the time to push back
03
Optimise ROI on Market Intelligence Investments
The Promise
Every dollar of market intelligence spend tied to actual business usage.
  • Finance and procurement speak the same language — actual spend aligned to actual usage
  • Rationalisation initiatives are evidence-based, not political
  • ROI conversations with leadership go from defensive to confident
  • Subscription creep — the gradual accumulation of low-use, high-cost subscriptions — gets caught before it compounds
  • You stop renewing subscriptions out of inertia and start renewing them out of deliberate choice
The Team

Commercial depth. Engineering precision. One shared mission.

A twenty-year career built entirely at the coalface of market data — buying it, selling it, negotiating it, and understanding what it costs organisations when it is managed without structure.

Career foundations span S&P Global, Bloomberg, and Wood Mackenzie, alongside deep commercial experience within Financial & Commodity Trading and Risk Management (CTRM/ETRM) solution providers — covering global and regional trading markets across energy, commodities, and financial services.

This is not a platform built by technologists who observed the problem from a distance. It was designed by someone who negotiated these renewals, managed these vendor relationships, and understood precisely where the information asymmetry sat — and what it cost.

Thirty years at the frontier of enterprise technology — from infrastructure and virtualisation to customer experience platforms and, most recently, the leading edge of agentic AI engineering.

A career grounded in scaling complex technology organisations, with senior leadership roles at Hewlett-Packard, VMware, CA Technologies, and Zendesk — institutions that defined how enterprise software is built, deployed, and operationalised at scale.

Today, he leads an agentic AI engineering firm, bringing that capability directly into MIM's architecture — ensuring the platform is not simply built for today's procurement workflows, but is designed to evolve as intelligence and automation reshape how organisations manage vendor relationships.

Our Vision

Where we're going.

To become the operating standard for market intelligence procurement — globally.
